Knit Together in Love
Knit Together in Love – A Special Needs Ministry
Colossians 2:2 says, "My purpose is that their hearts may be encouraged,
having been KNIT TOGETHER IN LOVE,
and attaining to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding,
resulting in a true knowledge of God’s mystery, that is, Christ Himself” (NASB).
If you enjoy working with yarn as either a knitter or crocheter,
please consider sharing your skills- and finished projects- with needy
seniors this year. We would like to be able to visit Foothill Acres,
Princeton Care Center, Buckingham Place, and Arden Courts during the
2011 Christmas season to distribute warm and useful items such as hats,
scarves, gloves/mittens, lapghans (lap afghans), shawls, and the like to
ill, disabled, or 'forgotten' seniors to show them God's love. If you
can donate a little time, your skill, and yarn to make some warm item(s)
for deserving seniors, you will be blessed as well!
We are not asking for slippers or socks at this time due to the
possibility of seniors' slips and falls. If you have any questions,
please direct them to SpecialNeedsMinistry@mefc.org. Thank you and be
blessed.
